Amongst all the sails we have aquired with Blue Moon is an assymetric spinnaker which seems hardly used. I would think this is quite a useful sail, however I am used to dinghies with long poles extending from the bow and can't see how to rig it. Where is the tack of the kite secured? and do the sheets run direct to the sheaves at the back of the cockpit or do they run through pulleys on the toes rail first.

All help appreciated as usual.

Jan,

I move my spinnaker pole down haul pulley forward from the D ring in the middle of the fordeck to the pin on the bow anchor roller. Then attach the tack to the down haul. Sheets are attached to the spinnaker clew in the usual way. Works well for us between approx 80deg and 170deg. Even better without the main up.
