Hi

I have just bought number 53 -- I think she is the only Blue hulled 275, any way !

I am after advice on the simrad roberstaon Dataline X SDX depth /log

I worked when i launched and worked for a while then all i get is a dash where each reading should be ---

i have checked the volts to head this is ok

i have checked all mea wires into databox all ok

i have done system check on the head all checks ok except the nmea in and out checks they are only going to the first check

can anyone help and shed some light on what to do next

In case it helps, I happen to have a brand new and unused Stowe Dataline S/D, c/w its two manuals, which I bought in 1993.

Stowe were taken over by Robertson and later rebranded Simrad so I suspect that what you have is just the re-branded Stowe Dataline system.

The troubleshooting section of the manual for my Stowe S/D includes:

"All repeater LCDs show bars = No information from Databox - Check wiring from Databox to Repeaters, particularly Green and White wires." followed by the cryptic alternative "Return Databox for service"!

This is the only reference in either of the manuals to "All repeater LCDs show bars".
