Newtown River is a delightful anchorage and the Azores High is building, so this promises to be a good weekend.

Join us on board Tara for drinks from 5pm and then we will be having a barbeque on the beach to the west of the entrance, starting at about 6pm. It’s a bit stony so something to sit on would be a good idea.

There are some visitors’ moorings for around £15 a night or you can anchor for which a donation of about £5 to the National Trust is appreciated.

If you are arriving in good time, why not join us for a row up the river and a picnic lunch. We shall be heading off about 11am.
