Just a note to keep members up to speed with developments from one of the Associations trusted suppliers. Chris Scanes, of Sails and Canvas in Topsham was recognised by the Association a while back for his excellence in service and quality and I have used him now for 4 sails and a boom cover. I was pleased to hear that he had found a buyer for the business but would still be an integral part of the team, however this has now come to a sticky end with Chris setting up a new venture called Exe Sails and canvas opposite Darts farm (just outside of Topsham). The old sail loft in Topsham is still going but my understanding is that there is no "in house production" and that everything is being bought in.
