Hi All

I have had "FollY" Seal Sinbad for Two years now and must say she is a great boat. I am thinking of fitting some "Slurp Plates" in the engine well to stop the water coming into the rear locker. I am hoping that someone may still have some plans or pics to show how this is done. I have got the Seal handbook but the diargram does not seem to be there.

Thanks in advance

Brian

I made slurp plates for my Sinbad 287 when I had her in the 80s. The outside fitted the hole in the bottom of the well and the insides fitted loosely round the outboard leg. Various turnbuckles and guides were intended to stop them falling out with limited success. They were very effective at stopping the sea from coming up into the side lockers when heeled.

Hi Geoff.

Thank's for the quick reply, I think I now have a better idea of what to do. I found a couple of pics online and have attached them to see what you think.

Thanks again
