Parker & Seals Eastern Area Dinner 12th April 2014Tollesbury Cruising Club
We are holding our annual Eastern Area Dinner at the Tollesbury Cruising Club on the edge of the Tollesbury Wick marsh, a natural environment managed by Essex Wildlife Trust providing a haven for birds and walkers, and close to Tollesbury village, not only known for its smuggling past but also for its historic sail lofts and railway pier (ruins). We look forward to the attendance of as many of our members as possible as the club has plenty of capacity!
The date and times are Saturday 12th April 2014 @ 7:00 for 7:30. Pat and Pam Morgan will be giving what promises to be a very interesting after dinner talk on the highlights of their recent cruise around the Orkney and Shetland Islands in their normally Suffolk based Parker 31, Phun.
I can recommend walks around the marshes and sea walls as well as a trip to West Mersea. If any of you are interested, we could meet there for lunch at the Company Shed seafood restaurant?
To attend the dinner please complete the attached form and return it to Chris Neale to arrive by no later than 6th April 2014 as the TCC would like notice to provide the menu options (menu attached) that we individually select.
For those that already have their boats in the water and would like to get to Tollesbury by river and creek, you should make your own arrangements with the Tollesbury Marina harbourmaster, David Boughton, on 01621 869202. Tide times and heights of water above the sill are provided in an attached document.
