Try the calmer seas of Southampton Water, a bit of exploration and a bit of luxury! Yes the Easter Rally will be based at the Ocean Village Marina, Southampton with a lunchtime visit to the revitalised Eling Sailing Club at Eling Creek and supper at the Royal Southampton Yacht Club adjacent to the marina.

Whilst the main pre organised events will be on Saturday 19th April, berths will be available for Good Friday 18th April and Easter Sunday 20th April.

Eling Sailing Club by the Tide Mill now has shore side pontoons (no more mud wading!) and a nice bar. Local advice-access near springs (which we are) 1.5 hours before1st High Water and leave by 1.5 hours after 2nd High Water. Note for other visits there is a much narrower window at neaps. So with 1st HW at 1429 let us gather there at about 1300.The approach route is set out on the website www.elingsc.org.uk and I will give an update on this nearer the time.
