Just coming to the end of the first season in my 275 and haven't made it out of the Forth!

Have been out in 30 knots plus. Scotland is windy!

So planning the next few years trips, round Scotland and maybe round England.

I wondered if anyone had links or stories about trips in their 275 to inspire me. And also reassure me that the light weight is no obstacle to a good weather North Sea crossing and the like!

Heavy weather reports welcome!

Hi Rob
Great that you have had a good time in your first season.
I would agree that 275s are best in not too rough conditions. I personally try to avoid it. Having said that we circumnavigated Brittany (see articles from the magazine 2006 Sabbatical Cruise) and got on fine.
Clifford Miller is the expert at “character building” as he puts it and has taken Abacus through many a bash. So I would recommend you have a chat with him.
275s are very sea worthy. What you go out in really depends on the appetite of the crew!
Hope this helps
