Parker & Seals Eastern Area Dinner
28th March 2015
Royal Norfolk & Suffolk Yacht Club After an absence of 3 years it is time for us to return to the very hospitable Royal Norfolk & Suffolk Yacht Club for our annual Eastern Area Dinner.
Founded in 1859, the RN&SYC is housed in a striking Grade 2* Listed building overlooking its own marina. Situated in the most easterly port in the British Isles with access at all states of the tide and a sheltered haven in all weathers, the club has always been popular with visitors from the Continent and UK. They have a number of overnight rooms which can be booked directly with the RN&SYC and there are many B&Bs and hotels in this central part of Lowestoft.
Nearby Oulton Broad is home to the International Boatbuilding Training College and I am pleased to say that their manager, Andrew Barratt and his wife Sarah will be our guests of honour for the evening. Andrew promises to give us an interesting talk on some of their high profile restoration and replication projects and the characters involved in their world renowned college.
We look forward to the attendance of as many of our members as possible to enjoy this particularly historic and attractive venue and experience again their quality cuisine.
The date and times are Saturday 28th March 2015 @ 7:00 for 7:30. Andrew Barratt will be giving what promises to be a very interesting after dinner talk
To attend the dinner please contact Chris Neale to arrive by no later than 22nd March 2015 as the RN&SYC would like notice to provide the menu options (menu attached) that we individually select.
Booking rooms at the RN&SYC should be done directly: telephone no. 01502 566726
