Hi all
With now 20 boats this in turning into a mammoth amount of organising ---- please read below
I have been to see the River Warden this morning and he has some points he would like me to pass on …….
- Please do not try to enter or call him on ch 37 until after 1430hrs which will allow him to get to the entrance to give individual instruction and advice
- As we are a very large group please be patient
- This is a bank holiday weekend and they do not know how many berths will be available!
They will endeavour to get us either on a mooring or at anchor inside the entrance.
We are using club moorings when owners go away for the weekend and some are vacant
Steve will not know what will be available or not until Sunday morning
He may ask boats to raft up in pairs but this will be weather dependant
- If you are on a mooring please do not adjust the warps as the are set up for the permanent boat also there is a hoop at the top please tie your own bridle to it as added security
- River warden will collect mooring due from each individual boat (to be decided on day by him)
- Speed limit is 4kts and keeps to the buoys on each mooring; don’t cut any corners as it gets very shallow
- On entering the river please keep to the port side of the river
- The only anchoring in on port side just inside the river entrance
I hope I have covered everything, as you can imagine I hope it all works out
Anyone with any questions see me at Newtown creek
Thanks for your understanding and enjoy the weekend
