Hello I have a 2 pin bulkhead connector in the fuel tank storage locations on my 235 s/n 28 which is wired back to the battery with an in-line fuse. I assume this is for connecting an outboard charging circuit or an autohelm. Appreciate if anyone could advise on the connector type that this is as I would like to source the cable mount connector half to allow me to wire in my new outboard which has a charging circuit. Many thanks Zander

Hi Zander,

Haven't got access to the boat at the moment so can't send pics. I have a socket in the port side area where the fuel tank goes. A two-pin screw socket into which the male plug goes. The screw plug comes from the outboard which I have always understood to be used to charge the battery (the plug came with the outboard). I have a separate lead/plug/socket used for the auto-helm.

Hope this helps

Thanks John, very clear. Just need to work out what type of connector it is. I will take some measurements and so what I can find on the Internet.

Cheers

Hi Zander
I think this is probably what you've got.

It's a 2 pin screw on plug with one pin bigger than the other.

Have a look at ecs-marine-equipment.co.uk/marine-equipment/waterproof-plugs-item-2322

Best wishes

Nigel, female half looks identical, much appreciated. I will order both halves as can always swap the bulkhead connector if the plug doesn't fit. Really appreciate you taking the time to send me a photo.

Thanks
