Apologies for long subject heading.
My 285 has developed a leak in the raw water circuit of the Yanmar 2YM15 engine,at the t-piece leading to the shaft lubrication line from the anti-siphon down pipe despite tightening the jubilee clips as tight as possible. Taking this out, I found that the 1/4 BSP stainless steel t-piece has an external diameter of ~12mm and the internal diameter of the Variopress HA152 hose which was attached to it is 19mm. Major engineering nonsense! Photo attached.

No wonder it has become an acute on chronic leak and presumably the narrow t-piece has been restricting flow. (The larger hose size is needed to fit the other parts of the circuit.)
Has anyone had a similar problem? Where might I find a 1/2inch BSP fitting which has a 1/4inch "T" or is there another solution?
Thanks

Update: Friendly marine engineer has turned a new part with 1/4 BSP side hole on his lathe and all is well in the world. Bob S
