Because the shaft was moving round, making a rattling sound, I decided to replace the motorsupports first, the bullflex coupling later, the rubber seal and bearing and last but not least the shaft itself, but the problem still exists. The Volvo Penta seal is greased with special Volvo grease and de-aerated, but still running hot due to lateral movements of the shaft.

Who has experience with these very large propellor shafts?
