The gasket in the Moonlight hatch/portlight in the quarter berth giving into the cockpit has substantially detached itself from the frame. There does not appear to be a channel or groove in the frame for the gasket to fit into, and the gasket is distorting ( as well as leaking) when the portlight is closed.
Any members experienced in resolving this problem? Or do I simply wait for some fine weather before cleaning it all up and doing my best with contact adhesive/superglue, or an alternative adhesive? It would be advantageous to be able to slide the gasket around in the adhesive when finally refixing it.
