Well, we're all ready for the off - first ferry in the morning, down to Kent to drop daughter at University, then to Boat Show, then back via Parkers to collect our new boat! We'll be off line for a week now but photos will follow on our return - please bear with our excitment!

Kia Sorento 2.5 Turbo Diesel - it is brilliant!

I've owned Discoveries and Isuzu's, but I bought this two years ago this week specifically to do the move from Lincoln to Mull, and did 11000 miles towing a 2.5 ton trailer in the first 4 months. It has towed, launched and recovered boats, yet it also handles better than most 4 x 4's. Brand new for the price of a 3 year old Disco - Brilliant![8D]

Hi Paul - yes it was tow car of the year. I liked the X-trail but it can only tow something under 2 ton, whereas this does 2.5.

Yeah...the x-trail is rated for 2 tons...enough for the 235....

Wouldn't like to tow far with a family car....!!!!!

I also tow it with my van...feels a bit more stable behind my van ...
