Just a cautionary note on the pushpit fitting. The bolt securing the leg of the pushpit on the transom sheared after some strain was put on it!

I was not on the boat at the time so I don't know how much strain was put on it but it is not good that the bolt sheared. I am in the process of drilling the foot pad of the pushpit for 4 bolts!

Anyone else have the same experience?

The bolts havent sheared but the gelcoat is all cracked around the base the surface of the deck also pushes in when weight is applied. Wanted to fit backing pads, realized the ss is about out of chrome, designed a new pushpit, costed it out and then decided to ignore that issue and rigged a small sun cover braced against the push pit insted.

I had a stud come off a pulpit leg on my 21. I had a nice little outfit on the Airfield Industrial Estate (Christchurch) weld on a new one and also beef up the other side!
