Could anyone with a Seal 28 confirm what their local club has allocated as a PY handicap. Please also confirm type of prop, keel, and if roller headsail, cruising chute, are carried.
According to the SSA Handbook my handicap should work out at 1145 (3 blade prop, cruising chute, roller jib) but was reduced to 1135 this year and I fear it may be furthur reduced next year as a result of doing fairly well in the local races in the Southend area.
I wanted some evidence of other 28's as ammunition to argue my case at the local racing committee.
