SParker 21 sail numer 40 - and the original sails still useable. However time to buy new.

Any recommendations re sailmaker?

Also the jib that I have inherited seems very small - about 70 sq ft, foot 8.5 ft, leech 17.5 ft. This does not seem standard size (does not appear in the manual anyway) but carries the Parker logo on the sailmakers label. But she is well balanced. Will a bigger jib then require rebalancing the rig? Has anyone any experience of this?

Many thanks.

Phil

http://www.kempsails.com/  they give a good discount for members of the SSA (one goood reason for joining).

I have had a number of sails from Kemps and found them to be of high quality. They are certainly cheaper than from Parker and Kay the maker of the sails that usually come with Parker Boats (no relation).

Kemps will probably know the sail dimensions for the 21.

Saw on the bulletin board that you have just ordered a jib for a Parker 21 from Kemps. Can you tell me the price quoted? I am currently negotiating to buy a Parker 21 which I intend to race, hence it will need a new set of sails.
Many thanks,
