Every time I change the fuel filter I curse the terrible access.
The filter is fitted on the starboard side of the access to the stern gear, just aft of the raw water inlet. It's a struggle to get a container under it to catch the spilt fuel and I have to almost stand on my head to get at the release bolt and bleed bolt on the top of the unit. Worse still is changing the O rings..
I assume Parkers put the filter there because they couldn't find somewhere better and I can't see anywhere else that looks promising.
I guess an other possibility is changing to a spin-on filter if I can find one short enough to fit.
Has anyone come up with a smart solution to the problem ?
