I have just converted my twin axle RM road trailer to a yard trolley with a single axle yard trailer bogey (from RM trialers, no bearings or brakes to rust). Now sits lower which should make it easier to launch/recover.
Cutting the bolts and replacing the bogey took about 3 hours for me and my son, including launching and recovering the boat.

I now have 4 road wheels to scrap, (and bogey) if anyone needs a spare wheel please feel free to take whatever you need. The old bogey is behind Sandy Lady (at Bucklers Hard) until I get round to taking it to the tip, probably in 2 to 3 weeks time.

Just to confirm that have now scrapped the old bogey.
Peter Scrivens kindly used his angle grinders to separate the bits, otherwise might have been a big problem.

The harbour master said they hadn't facilities, and apparently old bogeys don't count as domestic rubbish which can be disposed of at the local tip, however we found a scrap metal merchant in the yellow pages who was willing to pick it up for free from home.

Have now launched twice and haven't encountered any serious problems yet.
