Laying-up-lunch 2019 Following on from the successful South Coast Laying-up-lunch last year, we have decided to return to the
Bun Penny at Lee-on-Solent. All members and guests are welcome.
When - Sunday 24th November. Arrive at noon. Eat at 1pm.
Where - The Bun Penny, 36 Manor Way, Lee-on-the-Solent PO13 9JH. This fine pub restaurant was a farmhouse in the 17th century. We will have exclusive use of the elegant Victoria function room. It accommodates 58 people. The sea and views of the Solent are a short stroll away.
Menu - Main course, desert and coffee for £21, including service. Please choose from
Mains:
- Roast Topside of beef (served pink)
- Roasted Pork Loin
Both served with Yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes, stuffing, gravy
- Grilled Fillets of Sea Bass, dauphinoise potatoes, pesto
- Nut loaf, potatoes
All above served with seasonal vegetables
Deserts:
- Apple and Berry fruit crumble and custard
- Warm chocolate brownies, salted caramel ice cream
- 2 scoops of ice cream – chosen on the day

- Yes, the restaurant is very friendly to those with a gluten-free diet. Please indicate if you require GF.
Where do I park?
- The Bun Penny has its own large car park at the south side of the building.
Can I pay by card?
- Yes.
Shall I bring Christmas cards?
- Yes! A Christmas card swap with your PSSA friends will save you at least 61p / card.
Will there be a raffle?
- Yes! As it was popular last year, we will have another not-for-profit raffle. Prizes will include alcoholic beverages as well as two people getting a ‘free’ lunch for just a £1 raffle ticket.
